Obituary

Frederick L. Vickery, 88, passed away on July 7, 2018.
He was the loving husband of the late Barbara “Bobbie” Vickery (nee Weinshelbaum) for 49 years; loving father of Steven (Linda) Vickery, Joy (Jeff) Graham, Michael (Elise) Vickery, David (Debbie) Vickery and Tracy (Lillian) Vickery; cherished PaPa of Heather, Stephanie, David, Michael, Justine, Jennifer, Amy, Amanda, Bryan and Lindsay; dear great-grandfather of 10. Fred was the cherished son of the late Frederick Vickery and Katherine Elsea.

Fred was a football and baseball coach for his children and many other community teams for many years. He was active with the American Legion Post 208 in Creve Coeur and the Elks Lodge 2587 in O’Fallon. Fred was a very proud veteran of the United States Navy. He dedicated much of his time and got great enjoyment out of being part of the USS Cushing Association. His family will remember him as a kind and loving father and grandfather. Fred was a great dancer, wonderful cook and enjoyed sitting on his deck feeding the animals.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. (St. Charles).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13 at 10 am at Hutchens-Stygar.

Interment with military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorial donations have been suggested to the USO of Missouri.

I am so sad to hear that Fred has passed. I enjoyed being around him. He always had a smile on his face. I'm so sorry I cant make the visitation or service, but please know you're all in my thoughts and prayers. Until we meet again sweet Fred......
