In 2010, the Hutchens family laid to rest Autumn Serenity Broderick after her long, brave battle with cancer. Autumn, who was the daughter of John Hutchens’ niece, was only three years old at the time of her passing. To honor Autumn, Hutchens Funeral Homes offers Autumn’s Gift, a program to serve and assist families in our community during a most difficult time – the loss of a baby or child.
Through Autumn’s Gift, any family that suffers a stillbirth, loss of a baby, or the loss of a child through age twelve will receive the following benefits:
- Whether their choice is burial or cremation, there is no charge for any of our service fees.
- Families who choose burial may select from caskets made available through the Autumn’s Gift program at our wholesale cost. If a vault is required or requested, it will also be provided at our wholesale cost.
- Families choosing cremation will be provided with a cremation container at no cost.*
- Families wishing to have a funeral service at the funeral home or a local church will incur no costs for the funeral service from Hutchens Funeral Homes,** and the family will be provided a register book package and prayer cards free of charge.
If your family has experienced the loss of a baby or child and is in need of immediate assistance, please contact us at any of our three locations.
